Balanced policy does not ask adults and parents to trust slogans. It asks government to publish the access points and enforcement results.

Balance is a measurement problem
Alberta has a public framework for legal age, ID checks, display, advertising, and enforcement. The youth-protection debate should start by measuring how that framework is performing.
Bill 208 may be intended to reduce youth appeal, but intent is not enough. Alberta should require source-of-access reporting so the public can see whether the policy works.
